His flight to Qatar to play the Club World Cup was to take off at 11:15 p.m. on Friday and did not do so until 6:52 a.m. this Saturday.

Bayern's flight to Qatar to play the Club World Cup, scheduled for Friday night, could not take off until this Saturday at 6:52 a.m., so the players spent the night inside the plane at the airport of Berlin

The Bavarian club had planned to fly after the match against Hertha, which was brought forward half an hour for that purpose. The Bayern expedition arrived at the Willy Brandt airport in Berlin-Brandenburg at 22:45. The plane was supposed to take off at 11:15 p.m. but was not ready to do so until 11:59 p.m.

Take-offs after midnight are not allowed at the Berlin airport and as the take-off time is one and a half minutes, it was necessary to request a special authorization from the authorities of the federal state of Brandenburg, which was not granted.

"The Brandenburg authorities do not know what they have done to our team," Bayern Munich Chairman of the Board of Directors Karlheinz Rummenigge told the daily "Bild".

Bayern traveled with 22 players and without Javi Martínez or Leon Goretzka who have passed the coronavirus but it is not ruled out that they will later join the team.
