Jakarta, Indonesia - The management of the Sriwijaya Air airline stated that until now, it has continued to make contact with various parties to obtain more detailed information regarding the SJ-182 flight from the Jakarta - Pontianak route that lost contact.

"Management is still communicating and investigating this matter and will immediately issue an official statement after obtaining the real information," Sriwijaya Air Management said in a written statement.


The Transportation Ministry confirmed that there had been a loss of contact with one of the Sriwijaya Air planes. The plane that lost contact was with flight number SJ-182 heading to Jakarta-Pontianak.


"There has been a lost contact with the Sriwijaya aircraft on the Jakarta - Pontianak route with a call sign SJ-182. The last contact was made at 14:40 WIB. It is currently under investigation and is being coordinated with BASARNAS and NTSC. We will deliver further information if there are developments. other, "said Spokesperson for the Ministry of Transportation, Adita Irawati, to CNBC Indonesia, Saturday (9/1/2021).


Previously it was reported that the commercial aircraft on the Jakarta-Pontianak route had reportedly lost contact. Airnav party checked the news.

It was reported that the plane that lost contact was a plane from Sriwijaya Air.
