XBOX Available on IOS and PC in 2021

XBOX CLOUD GAMING COMING TO IOS AND PC IN SPRING 2021
Gamers with Android devices have been enjoying Xbox Game Pass Ultimate’s cloud gaming feature since September, while iOS device owners have been asking, “What about us?” Xbox finally answered and announced Xbox cloud gaming will be arriving on iOS and PC in spring 2021.
Jerret West, CVP at Microsoft Gaming, shared the news in a post on the official Xbox blog.
“In Spring 2021, we will take the next step in our journey to reach more players around the world by making cloud gaming as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate available on Windows PCs through the Xbox app and browser, and iOS devices through a mobile web browser,” West said.
Project xCloud, Xbox’s cloud gaming beta, was available on iOS and Android devices for almost a year, but when the service transitioned to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, the service was removed from iOS. Xbox had to find a workaround in dealing with Apple’s terms of service in regard to apps and gaming. The solution is to offer it through a mobile web browser.
